Meen Moilee is a Kerala-style fish curry cooked in a delicious, creamy coconut milk gravy that will definitely make your tastebuds explode!
 
Ingredients:
500G FISH
1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
1/2 TSP OIL
3 TBSP OIL
1 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS
1 TSP URAD DAL
1 TSP GINGER JULIENNE
2 SPRIGS CURRY LEAVES
1 TSP GREEN CHILLIES
1 CUP ONIONS
1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
1 TSP CUMIN POWDER
SALT TO TASTE
1 CUP COCONUT MILK
1 CUP WATER
1/2 TSP SUGAR
 
Method:
Place the washed and cleaned fish in a bowl, and add salt and turmeric powder to it. Mix well and marinate for 20 minutes.
Heat oil in a wok and fry the fish until 50% done. Set aside.
In the same oil, add mustard seeds, urad dal, ginger julienne, curry leaves, green chillies and mix well.
Add onion, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt and tomatoes, and cook until the veggies are tender.
Now add coconut milk and water and mix well. Bring the gravy to a boil, then add sugar and mix again.
Once the gravy is done, add the fish pieces and cook for another 10 minutes, or until done.
